Over the past several months, the STXBP1 community in the Netherlands has taken on an incredible challenge — kick starting the European-wide Estafette (relay) traveling from one end of the country to the other.
Families cycled, walked, jogged, and even rode motorcycles to pass a ball donning the colors of the Dutch flag across the Netherlands, raising awareness for STXBP1-related disorders and collecting donations to support the European STXBP1 Consortium (ESCO).

The relay concluded on September 6th with a 5k walk through the Amsterdamse Bos, a large forested park in Amsterdam, where parents, children, and supporters came together to celebrate the final leg of this incredible journey.

We are proud to share that this inspiring effort raised a total of €14,159, with Team Myrthe (above) contributing an outstanding €7,005 to the cause.
This initiative is a shining example of the strength and creativity of the STXBP1 community. Every kilometer covered and every euro raised helps accelerate research and brings us closer to better treatments and improved quality of life for individuals with STXBP1-related disorders.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported this remarkable relay. 💜
